I'm a sneaker head and have been since I was a kid. It was the summer of 1966 at the ripe old age of 9, when I fell in love with sneakers. Now in 2019, I'm still in love with sneakers and try to find pairs I can feel comfortable wearing in all situations. I find Vans Authentic, ERA, and classic slip-on Black / Black are great for business, as well as, attending church. These sneakers shocked me at how unexpectedly great they feel on my feet. I have sensitive feet because an infection burned the myelin sheath of the nerves of my left foot and then sympathetic pain in my right. There are many sneakers where the straps drive me up the wall and I can even feel the threads used to hold the straps onto the fabric.I can great these sneakers feel on my feet. My shoes hurt simply to wear and even more while walking. These are almost like not wearing shoes. Yes, I can feel them but they don't cause more pain than in normal.I'm rating these sneakers (trainers for those in the UK) a solid 5 stars. I am completely grateful to Skechers for making a pair of sneakers I, someone in constant pain, can wear without additional issues. Thank you so very much!If you have pain issues with your feet these are the sneakers for you to consider wearing on a daily basis. For this one reason, I'm rating these sneakers / trainers (for those in the UK) a grateful 5 stars! As for sizing, please, continue reading. OK, I found mine ran large (but for how large, keep reading).CONTEXT and HISTORY / FYI and BTW:The first sneakers I picked out because I (not my Mom) loved them were Boys Keds Surfers in Navy Blue. By the time Keds discontinued them in 1972, I was wearing the Men's version of the Keds Surfer sneakers (plimsolls for British speakers) both in slip-on and CVO (Circular Vamp Oxford). The best were the denim, yes denim, version. From those very first sneakers / plimsolls till now, I must have bought or traded over 1,200 sneakers and still have 800 or so of them left.It is in that light I can say I - think - I've found another sneaker I can really love. It is still to soon to tell. After all, it took 5 years for me to realize how much I loved those 1966 sneakers. Today, though, I know myself a bit better and what I'm looking for in a pair of sneakers. The first time I saw them was in a Tony Romo Skechers television advertisement. Honestly, I had no idea who this Tony Romo was, nor did I care. The fact someone was selling slip-on sneakers / trainers on TV and they had an athletic instead of a Vans look to them was unexpected and exciting. Unfortunately, the advertisement didn't match his line of shoes on the Skechers website. Look as I might, these sneakers were not to be to seen and for some reason I wanted the ones he wore and not the ones in his personal line. (Remember I didn't even know of him till the commercial and what I liked were the sneakers, not him.)After seeing an YouTube video of his commercial (put up by Skechers) did I learn more about these sneakers. The comment section had many others wondering about these shoes. Someone using the official Skechers account replied to questions about the pair he wore in the advertisement. Googling with the supplied model number and name, lead me to this page on Amazon and the reset is history.Upon arriving by Amazon delivery at 09:15 on 9/17/2019, I, immediately, tried them on and found they run a bit large. Typically, I wear 11 in Puma, 9.5 in Chucks, and 10 in Vans. I purchased two pairs - 10 and 11. The size 10 came first and were a bit large. Actually my BARE feet felt like they were swimming around in there. Putting on a pair of socks helped, but next time I'll order 9.5. The thing is I prefer going sockless, especially in the summer months. Most likely the next order will be for sizes 9 and 9.5. I'll want a pair for the sockless summer and another for socked winter. (Yes, I love my sneakers year round even in Chicago (or even when I was living in Minneapolis / St. Paul).)After realizing this fact about the sizing, I decided to put in a return request for the 11. It turns out Amazon has multiple sources for these sneakers. The 10 came from Amazon, while the 11 are coming from a shoe store in Stratford, CT using UPS. While Amazon sent me a return label (return reason is obviously too large), my hope is we'll catch the UPS driver and be able to refuse the package thus saving Amazon and the store the return cost of shipping.Again the bottom line is 5 stars for all the right reasons! Thank you Skechers for making a great sneaker. Please don't discontinue them (at least not very soon / quickly).I still wear these shoes after a year of use. I had to replace the pads inside after about 4 months of use, but I still like them.I went out on a limb and bought these shoes for a recent trip to New York City. I knew that we would be doing a lot of walking and I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable and would support my feet. These shoes were great. The size was perfect, and the style was awesome. I love these so much I wear then all the time. I am even going to buy a backup pair when these wear out. As I write this it has been 3 months since I received my shoes and they are as good as the first day I wore them.**Update 4/2021**My shoes are still just as comfortable as the day I bought them. I literately wear them every day. They have held up great. The white sole is defiantly showing wear in the forms of dirt, but holding up as expected. I purchased another pair and will put them in the closet when the time comes to trade in this current pair. I hate when you find a pair of shoes you love and the manufacture goes and cancels them or makes bad changes. Thank goodness my foot has stopped growing so I know when the time comes they will fit nicely. Buy a pair your feet will be happy you did.Without looking in my closet I must have at least a 10 different pair of sketchers. I have them because of the cushioned soles. They are by far the most cushioned sole on the market. I have a siatic near earth issue all down my left leg and foot. I can no longer walk around the house barefoot. a pair. Of sketchers go on as soon as I get up. All of that being said I gave this pair a 4 star because they have a hard rubber piece on the heel and toe. The one on the toe is fine. It gives me more stability as I walk. However, the one on the heal is too big and it minimizes the cushion. I have some other sketchers with small hard pieces on the heal and toe and these are my longer distance shoes. Love them. I still wear these mainly for the looks and some for the cushion.Very comfortable. The price has more than doubled and I will not be buying at 93.00 dollars. What's up with that?Comfortable, well made, wear oftenHace un año compré un par de estos zapatos en color azul y tanto la talla como la comodidad fueron excelentes. Decidí comprar otro par esta vez en color gris y para mi sorpresa no tienen el mismo nivel de confort y adicionalmente me quedan ligeramente más grandes de talla, pese a ser del mismo número de los anteriores.well these shoes do look good and are comfy but i purchased these nov 2020 and they are tearing apart on right and left shoe hate to complain seeing i paid 27 for these but you would think they would hold up at least a year i see the price is 68 now i would be totally ticked if i paid that much for 4 months of normal useVery comfortable in all areas. Good support for arch and heels. I am older but these kids are not old people shoes!Go down a size or def half with being slip on had to put insole in to make them fitNice trainers my son says there comfortable and easy to get on and offvery good quality and comfortable, i will buy again and surely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy shoeBought for my son he loves them
